ANTONOV AN-2: the biggest biplane in the world

The world's largest biplane
Ultra slow flight and surprising agility.
This classic short take-off and landing aircraft amazes and delights spectators.

Displayed by pilots of Avia Special, the AN-2 has been a great success at events in the UK since 1992. These have included:
Biggin Hill International Airfair, RAF Leuchars Open Day in Scotland, Imperial War Museum at Duxford Airfield, Cambridge, seafront displays such as Folkestone and other venues such as Merseyside.

Specialities of the AN-2's entertaining demonstration include the famous "hover turn", when it appears to hang motionless in the sky. It has even been seen to fly backwards!

In addition, the AN-2 lifts teams of up to 12 skydivers and these have included the well-known Parachute Regiment Team, The Red Devils, as well as regular partners Airtrack Skydiving.
