Apart from an international career in the oil industry, during which he was active with the CBI, James Black has been flying light aircraft and organising flying displays and other events for over 30 years. Through long membership of the Royal Aero Club of the UK and the Federation Aeronautique International (FAI) he has wide contacts in the field of aviation sports. He is a Member of the British Association of Aviation Consultants and a Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development.
